There are all kinds of particles floating around in our air that we do not want in our homes. Viruses, bacteria, dust, dander and pollen are obvious examples, but there are also airborne chemicals like formaldehyde and benzene that can also be harmful to our health.
What’s more, these particles are tiny! According to the NAFA (National Air Filtration Association), 95-98% of indoor air is made up of particles smaller than one micron. How big is a micron? It is approximately 70 times smaller than one human strand of hair. Therefore, all the most harmful airborne particles are invisible to the human eye.
